Articulation With Other Postsecondary Institutions

Since Guam Community College is fully accredited with the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), GCC credits and some entire programs will articulate, or transfer to other accredited postsecondary institutions. These articulation agreements offer GCC students a way in which to expand and enrich their postsecondary educational experience. The Pohnpei Accord

Participants from the College of the Marshall Islands (CMI), the College of Micronesia-FSM (COM-FSM), Guam Community College (GCC), Northern Marianas College (NMC), Palau Community College (PCC) and the University of Guam (UOG) met on the campus of the College of Micronesia-FSM on December 8-11, 2003, to reaffirm friendly relations and an exchange of mutual communication and cooperation among the six regional institutions of higher learning, and to discuss regional distance education initiatives. This meeting resulted in the Pohnpei Accord, which clearly articulates academic transfer of credit guidelines for students entering the University of Guam from the five regional colleges.

GCC has formulated articulation agreements with the following postsecondary institutions:

	American Hospitality Academy Philippines (AHA) Makati, Philippines	GCC Catalog - Articulation

	Chaminade University Honolulu, Hawaii	GCC - Chaminade Articulation (GCC Catalog)
	College of Micronesia Federated States of Micronesia (COM-FSM)	GCC - COM-FSM Articulation (GCC Catalog)
	Dusit Thani College Bangkok, Thailand	The 2+2 agreement between GCC and Dusit Thani allows students to transfer an A.S. in Food & Beverage Management or Hotel Operations Management or A.A. in Culinary Arts to Dusit, where in two more years, they can earn a bachelor's degree in the international programs of Hotel & Resort Management or Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management.

	University of Makati Makati, Philippines	The 2+2 agreement between GCC and University of Makati allows students to transfer an A.S. or A.A. in several programs to Univ. of Makat, where in two more years, they can earn a bachelor's degree in similar programs.
