Accreditation
The Guam Community College's application for the reaffirmation of its accreditation status by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) has been approved for a full seven years - the maximum period allowable. The Commission examined the institutional evidence of student learning and achievement, the Institutional Self Evaluation Report, the External Evaluation Report, and documents from previous evaluations and determined that GCC complies with the Eligibility Requirements, Accreditation Standards, and Commission policies. On June 13, 2018, the College received notice from ACCJC of its action to reaffirm accreditation. Guam Community College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges, 428 J Street, Suite 400, Sacramento, CA. 95814, (415) 506-0234, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education. Program Accreditation
The Associate of Arts in Culinary Arts program is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation's (ACFEF) Accrediting Commission, which is recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Initial accreditation was granted on December 31, 2014. A reaffirmation of accreditation of the Culinary Arts program was granted on February 2, 2018 and expired on December 31, 2022. A more recent reaffirmation was granted on February 1, 2023 and will expire on December 31, 2029.
