STEPS TO APPLY


1. Complete & Submit the Application for Admission AY 2021-22

Continuing GCC Students, continue on to steps 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, & 10

  • Application for Admission MUST be turned in with a photo of a Government-issued ID to be processed. Email your valid photo ID to gcc.registrar@guamcc.edu


Once our Admissions team processes your application, you will receive your Student (MyGCC Account) Information through the email you provided on your application.

2. Log in to MyGCC & Activate your GCC Email.

MyGCC, known as the Student Portal that allows you to have access to information such as Registration Status, Grades, Holds, Transcripts, and Financial Balances. Important Announcements, News and Events are posted here as well. Students are encouraged to become acquainted with MyGCC.

Note: You can log in to your GCC email account using Gmail.

 



3. Submit an Official High School Transcript, GED® Certification, or HiSet® Certification

Must be submitted no later than the week before classes start

Note:
Official Transcripts are transcripts submitted FROM another institution directly TO GCC through mail or secure electronic means. Transcripts emailed from students to GCC or are mailed to GCC after being opened, will not be accepted.

4. If you plan to apply for Financial Aid - Fill Out the FAFSA

(You will use the 2020 tax return information for the 2021-2022 FAFSA)

After filling out the FAFSA, the federal processing time will take about 3-5 days. You will then receive a Deferment Letter in your GCC Email from the GCC Financial Aid Office. The Deferment Letter acts as a ticket and needs to be presented in order to complete steps 9 and 10.

5. Submit the Health Clearance Request
 


Students have the option to have their PPD skin testing done through a private clinic or at the GCC Health Services Center.

A confirmation email will be sent to you once your health requirements have been processed and health holds have been lifted. Upon the release of health holds, students will be able to register for classes online. Please visit the GCC Health Services Center webpage for the complete listing of requirements and the PPD Skin Testing schedule.

6. See your Academic Advisor

Counselors and Academic Advisors are available to assist students! Counselors and Academic Advisors help you clarify your life and career goals as they assist with developing your educational plan. They can help you learn which classes you should take and when you should take them. They are available to answer your concerns and are there to help you find ways and opportunities to reach your academic success.

 



7. Placement test (Math & English)

To schedule a Placement test for $22 (non-refundable fee), please contact a counselor or academic advisor.

8. Register for Classes

Register for classes through MyGCC

*send an email request to gcc.registrar@guamcc.edu

  • Requests must come from your GCC (guamcc.edu) Email account
  • Include your Full Name, Student ID # (B00XXXXXX), and Courses including CRN
  • Requests that require instructor or Department Chair approval must go through them prior to sending to Admissions & Registration 
 


9. Student ID & Textbooks

  • Process your Student ID at the Student Support Services, Building B.

With your student ID, students will have access to different perks at GCC –from library access, computer labs, and student activity freebies!

Must present your Schedule & GCC ID. FAFSA applicants must present a Deferment Letter.

10. Payments

Financial Aid Students MUST process a Deferment Letter with the GCC Financial Aid Office.
