Reach for College (Hagu'i Kuleho) Program



The primary purpose of the Guam Community College Reach for College Hagu'i Kuleho Program is to provide information and services to increase access to postsecondary education for underserved student populations.  The Reach for College Hagu'i Kuleho Program is designed to help students and their families learn about, prepare for, and finance postsecondary education.
 



Mission

To significantly increase the number of underrepresented students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education


 



RFC Program Eligibility Criteria

First Generation Student - Neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree or beyond;

Low-Income - According to the U.S. Department of Education guidelines OR if a student is part of the free/reduced lunch program;

A student with a Disability - Documentation required; At-Risk - Student experiencing one or more of the following factors in their life: Single-parent home (including a household where a parent is deployed), non-traditional home environment (e.g. living with grandparents, uncle/aunt in the household), at or below the poverty line, poor performance at school, emotionally or physically abused, few support systems, neglect or abandonment, and sometimes negative contact with police agencies.
