Guam Community College (GCC) is conducting two free work-ready bootcamps this Summer. The bootcamps are designed to help participants gain real-world skills for in-demand jobs.
The GCC Office of Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) is now accepting applications for its Building Maintenance and Truck Driving boot camps. These bootcamps will provide participants with hands-on, practical training that will prepare them to begin work immediately after completing the program.
Through the Building Maintenance bootcamp, participants can earn 13 college credits while gaining the fundamental knowledge and skills related to electrical, plumbing, and carpentry trades. The Truck Driving bootcamp will provide extensive training to prepare participants to take the Department of Motor Vehicles exams for a Class “C” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Each bootcamp is limited to 20 participants and is anticipated to begin in June 2026 at no cost to the participant.
In addition to the core skills taught within each bootcamp, participants will be eligible to obtain stackable credentials, including Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED training, WorkKeys, Work Ethic, and OSHA-10.
