Associate of Science in Visual Communications

The Associate of Science in Visual Communications (VisCom) provides students with the knowledge and experience necessary for employment in a Visual Communication profession. Students will learn the fundamental concepts, skills, and workflow techniques to design and execute effective media products. Career opportunities in Visual Communications may include graphic designer, photographer, video producer, website developer, and digital media producer. 

Program Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs):
Upon successful completion of the AS in Visual Communications program, students will be able to:
  1. Apply critical thinking skills in the practice of media production.
  2. Use different techniques in the creation and development of media solutions.
  3. Develop effective communication solutions using theories, tools, and best practices in media production.
