All of these students represent a very important part of our future. They’ve committed time to learn the trade and skills and now they have the opportunity for employment. That is an amazing opportunity. Not just for employment, but for a career,” stated Dr. Mary Okada, president of GCC.

“How exciting is this? From training, you go into a career, an actual career, and application of what you have learned. Thank you to all of you [here] for your motivation and your efforts in making our community economy even stronger,” stated Honorable Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero, Governor of Guam.

Of the 22 completers, 13 are from the Diesel Mechanic I boot camp with courses like Introduction to Diesel Tech and Preventative Maintenance I and Diesel Tech and Preventative Maintenance II, Diesel Engines I.
