How much does it cost to take classes at GCC?

Each credit hour is currently $130 for Residents and student fees are $147. Full-time students who enroll in 12 credits can expect to pay approximately $1722 per regular semester. Please click on the link below for more details. Tuition and fees
 



When can I take the English and Math placement test?

Do I have to take the English and Math placement test?

All students who plan to pursue a degree or certificate may take the English and Math placement test prior to enrolling in more than 9 credits. Any student who wishes to enroll in a course that has an English or Math prerequisite must also take the Placement test. Students may also transfer English/Math placement from other colleges/universities.
 



English and Math Placement Waiver -CLYMER Program

If you are a recent GDOE high school graduate (within 2 years) or are expected to graduate this school year and have a minimum GPA of 3.2, you may not have to take the placement test and may be eligible for an Alternative Placement. How many classes can I take?

Students can register for up to 15 credits, which is usually 5 courses. Any student who plans to enroll in more than 15 credits must obtain approval from an Academic Advisor or a Counselor.
 



Do I have to go to school full-time?

No, students can choose to go to school part-time.
 



What time can I take classes?

GCC offers many courses throughout the day. Some courses start as early as 8am or as late as 8pm.
 



How do I register online?

If you have your username and password and there are no registration holds on your registration status, you can go to mygcc.guamcc.edu to register online. Click on the link below for instructions.

How do I withdraw from a class?

To withdraw from a course, submit a Withdrawal Form to the Admissions and Registration office.
 



How do I change my schedule?

How do I drop my class?

How do I withdraw from a class?

To withdraw from a course, submit a Withdrawal Form to the Admissions and Registration office.
 



When do I have to pay for classes?

Payment for courses are due before the first day of classes. A late fee of $37.00 will be charged if a student fails to make payment prior to the first day of classes.
 



How do I apply for graduation?

Submit an Application for Graduation to the Admissions and Registration office located in the Student Services and Administration building.
 



How do I declare my major?

Submit an Application for Admissions as a Declared student to the Admissions and Registration office located in the Student Services and Administration building.
 



How do I change my major?

Submit a Change of Major form to the Admissions and Registration office located in the Student Services and Administration building.
 



Can I add a second major?

Yes, students can declare a second major by submitting a Change of Major/Add a Second Major form to the Admissions and Registration office located in the Student Services and Administration building.
 



How do I transfer credits to GCC?

Submit an official transcript to the Admissions and Registration office located in the Student Services and Administration building. If you have not declared your major, you will also need to submit an Application for Admission as a Declared student form as well.
 



How do I transfer credits to another college/university?

Submit a Transcript Request to the Admissions and Registration office located in the Student Services and Administration building.
 



How do I know who my Academic Advisor is?

When you log into mygcc.guamcc.edu, click on the MyCourses Tab. On the right side, select a term under academic profile and you will see the name of your Academic Advisor appear toward the bottom of the box.
 



What if I forgot my username and/or password to log into MyGCC?

If you know your student ID number, just click on Forgot Password and follow instructions or present a valid photo ID to the Admissions and Registration office and they will provide your username and reset your password.

How do I apply for financial aid?

Apply for your Federal Student Aid PIN number at www.pin.ed.gov. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
 



Where is the Financial Aid office?

Do I have to go to school full-time to receive Financial Aid or the Pell grant?

No, students to do not have to go to school full-time to received Financial Aid or Pell grant.



Are there any scholarships at GCC?

Are there any free tutoring services available?

Are there any accommodative services available for students with disabilities?
