CDC recommendations and guidelines for COVID-19 must be followed while on campus:

1. Practice social distancing: Stay at least 6 feet from other people

2. Wear a face mask or other cloth face covering over your nose and mouth at all times while on the GCC Campus

3. Cover your cough or sneeze 

4. Stay home if you are sick

5. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer


GCC is opened pursuant to Governor Lourdes A, Leon Guerrero’s Executive Order 2020-24 Relative to Declaring Pandemic Condition of Readiness (PCOR) 3.

STEPS TO APPLY


1. Complete & Submit the Application for Admission AY 2020-2021 (Online) 

*Application for Admission MUST be turned in with a photo of a Government-issued ID to be processed.

Email your valid photo ID to 
gcc.registrar@guamcc.edu

Once our Admissions team processes your application, you will receive your Student (MyGCC Account) Information through the email you provided on your application.

2. Login to MyGCC & Activate your GCC Email.

MyGCC, known as the Student Portal that allows you to have access to information such as Registration Status, Grades, Holds, Transcripts, and Financial Balances. Important Announcements, News and Events are posted here as well. Students are encouraged to become acquainted with MyGCC.

Note: You may log in using Gmail to access your GCC Email account.

 




3. Register for Classes through MyGCC

You can register for classes via MyGCC or if you are encountering problems, you can email your registration requests to gcc.registrar@guamcc.edu

*Email requests MUST meet the following criteria:

  • The request must come from your GCC (guamcc.edu) Email
  • Include your Full Name, Student ID # (B00XXXXXX), and Courses including CRN
  • Requests that require instructor or Department Chair approval must go through them prior to sending to Admissions & Registration 

 



4. Submit Official High School Transcript, GED® Certification, or HiSet® Certification

*Must be submitted no later than the week before classes start

Official Transcripts
are transcripts submitted to GCC directly from another institution through mail or secure electronic means. Transcripts emailed from students to GCC or are mailed to GCC after being opened will not be accepted.

5. Financial Aid - Fill Out the FAFSA

Guam Community College School Code: 015361.


After filling out the FAFSA, the federal processing time will take around 3-5 days. You will then be able to retrieve your Deferment Letter from the GCC Financial Aid Office. The Deferment Letter acts as a ticket and needs to be presented in order to complete steps 9 and 10.

6. Email Your Academic Advisor

Academic Advisors are there to help students! Your college academic advisor is much like your high school counselor. Advisors clarify your life and career goals as they assist with developing your educational plan and the classes you should take and when you should take them. They are available to answer your concerns and are there to help you find ways and opportunities to reach your academic success.

 




7. Submit the Student Health Information Form & Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Form

Student health requirements for registration have been extended to August 31st. Students who have not cleared health requirements will be unable to web register starting Monday 8/10 and will have to come to the Admissions Counter or email their request to gcc.registrar@guamcc.edu

Are you a student trying to register for classes but have a health hold on your MyGCC account? Contact Admissions and Registration at (671) 735-5531 or email gcc.registrar@guamcc.edu to have the hold temporarily removed. Students will have up to August 12 to turn in ALL health documents. Failure to submit by August 12 will result in all registered courses to be dropped for the semester.

*Students have the option to have their PPD skin testing done through a private clinic or at the GCC Health Services Center (Click here for Schedule).

New and current students may submit the health forms by email: gcc.healthcenter@guamcc.edu

8. Placement for Math & English

GCC English and Math Placement Testing
In response to the current situation of COVID-19, GCC will allow all new students to register for courses without the English and Math placement test. The criteria below can be used by students as a guide to determine which Math and/or English course to enroll in for Summer or Fall 2020

9. Get Your Student ID & Purchase Your Textbooks

*FAFSA Applicants must present an ID and Deferment Letter

Process your Student ID at the Student Support Services, Building B.

With your student ID, students will have access to all the different perks at GCC –from library access, computer labs, and Spring/Fall festival freebies!

Can I visit your offices at GCC?
Guam Community College campus is open Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Students needing to complete their registration may do so on campus. CDC recommendations and guidelines for COVID-19 must be followed while on campus.
