1. Apply at GCC

Complete and submit the Application for Admission AY 2024-2025

Continuing GCC Students, move on to steps 4, 6, 8, 9, & 10
 

  • When submitting an application, a valid government-issued ID must be presented to be processed. (Submit the application to GCC Admissions and Registration, Building 2000, Rotunda)
     
  • If choosing to email an application, a valid government-issued ID must be attached along with your application. (Email to gcc.registrar@guamcc.edu)


Once your application has been processed, you will receive and email with your Student Information (MyGCC Account).

2. Activate your MyGCC account
 

Log in to MyGCC and activate your GCC email account

MyGCC (Student Portal) is the hub for all your information, such as Registration Status, Grades, Holds, Transcripts and Financial Balances. Daily Announcements, News and Events are posted here as well. Note that your GCC email can be accessed via Gmail
 


 

3. Submit Transcripts & Certifications 
 

Turn in your official High School Transcript, GED® Certification, or HiSet® Certification
(No later than the week before classes start)

Official Transcripts are received DIRECTLY FROM another institution (sent to GCC) through mail or secure electronic means. Transcripts emailed to GCC from personal email accounts or sent via postal mail after being opened will NOT be accepted.

4. Financial Aid 
 

 Plan to use the FAFSA? Start filling out the FAFSA

 Guam Community College School Code: 015361
 
After filling out the FAFSA, the federal processing time will take about 3-5 days. You will then receive a Deferment Letter in your GCC Email from the GCC Financial Aid Office. The Deferment Letter acts as a ticket and needs to be presented in order to complete steps 9 and 10.

5. Health Requirements

(Please include your GCC Student ID # (B00XXXXXX) and a Contact Number when communicating with the GCC Health Services Center via email.)

Health Requirements for NEW Students

1. TB Skin Test must be less than one (1) year before registration; For any individual entering Guam from an area other than the United States or its territories, Public Law 22-130 requires that a tuberculosis test must be conducted within six (6) months before enrollment.

If a Positive Reactor of TB, must obtain a MEDICAL EVALUATION with a valid Chest X-ray report from their private medical clinic first and then proceed to the TB Section of the Department of Public Health & Social Services in Dededo to obtain a Certificate of Tuberculosis Evaluation Form for clearance. Call or email the GCC Health Services Center for further guidance;

2. MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella – 2 doses required (this vaccine is given in 2 doses during childhood years, if a record is available showing these doses, this vaccine is not needed for the rest of a person's lifetime); If no record is available, visit a clinic to have both doses administered;

3. TD / TDAP Booster – This vaccine is good for ten (10) years; and

4. Emergency and Health Information – This form can be found HERE and below under Student Forms.

5. Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) or Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) for students below 18 years of age.

Students whose choice of study will place them at risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens are advised to follow further instructions from their respective program advisor regarding other health requirements such as the Hepatitis B vaccine and physical examination.

Counselors and Academic Advisors are available to assist students! Counselors and Academic Advisors help you clarify your life and career goals as they assist with developing your educational plan. They can help you learn which classes you should take and when you should take them. They are available to answer your concerns and are there to help you find ways and opportunities to reach your academic success.

If you are a recent High School Graduate, you may be eligible to skip the placement tests. Check out the CLYMER Program to see if you are eligible.

Placement with WorkKeys Certificate
 
Guam Community College accepts valid (awarded within the last two years) Gold and Platinum WorkKeys Certificates for enrollment into MA110A and/or EN110 instead of a placement exam.

8. Register for Classes

9. Make Payment

10. ID Get your Student ID and textbooks

 
Student IDs can be obtained at the Student Support Services (SSS) Office located in Room C-1 (Building C). Students with FAFSA must present a Deferment Letter or Receipt of tuition & fees to obtain a Student ID.
 
With a student ID, students will have access to different resources and perks –library access, computer labs, and student activity freebies!
